Finding Journal ArticlesTo begin a project that requires current counseling information, you can use the following electronic databases and resources. All are available on campus at The University Center however some are specific to individual partner libraries. In those cases, you will have to use some sort of proxy service and a login/password for access. If you have any difficulty, ask a librarian for assistance. |

TUC Campus) "Full-text database of peer-reviewed academic journals, offering critical information from many sources found in no other database. Not only does it contain full-text articles from over 2,940 scholarly publications, but one can also find abstracts and indexing for nearly 3,930 scholarly journals. The journals offered cover nearly all areas of study-including social sciences, humanities, education, computer sciences, engineering, language and linguistics, arts & literature, medical sciences, ethnic studies, etc." |

(EBSCO) "A Bibliography of educational materials available since 1966 from the journals Current Index of Journals in Education and Resources in Education Index. Designed for teachers, students, administrators, researchers and others interested in the field of education. The database includes the ERIC thesaurus, a complete list of descriptive terms used by ERIC to index and search the database. Full-text of over 2,200 digests is available, including references for even more information. Citations and abstracts from over 980 educational and education-related journals." The Thesaurus of ERIC Descriptors is available online. The items you find will be in one of three formats: full-text digests, journal article citations/abstracts, or microfiche documents. |
